SYNOPSIS : “The Geometries of Desire” investigates the complexities of truth, the distortions of memory, the illusions of love, and the ways we protect ourselves by constructing our own spatio-temporal apartheids. The film references Kurosawa’s “Rashomon”, the cut-up methods of Burroughs, the work of Maurice Blanchot, and Chris Maker’s “La Jette”, playing with filmic space and time and finally asking the question “can one really see themselves?”.
