SYNOPSIS : “The Drowning Boy” is the story of a teenage boy, basically a child, who is most likely condemned to early death by a combination of mental or physical abuse and his own undiagnosed clinical depression. The piece is impressionistic and somewhat experimental, using limited animation and rendered illustrations, and is meant as a protest of our society’s failure to care for its most vulnerable.
