SYNOPSIS : The story is from the perspective of a 12-year-old African American boy named Emory that indulges in his favorite handheld game until it is taken by a bully. Emory finds balance with his world in his day-to-day events when he is enriched by playing his favorite game. The handheld video game is very much part of his identity. Outside of the game, he is a non-confrontational, soft-spoken, mild-mannered adolescent. Emory’s enrichment is interfered with by a bully and faced with adversity, Emory must gain the strength to face a difficult situation.
